The sudden cold breeze hit her face as soon as she stepped through the door.
It had felt as if the color in the room was slowly draining into a monochrome image. The first blink of her eyes and she was standing in complete desolation.
The silence was deafening, the only sound that could be heard was her shaky breath.
Her fingertips felt numb from the cold, lips turning blue and pale. She glanced down at her hands, but they couldn’t be seen through the obscurity. She blinked once more, the void beneath her feet had dissipated. She could now see the floor, her fingers shaking but starting to heat up.
She rose her head slowly, only to spot a seemingly never ending hallway. Down the hall was a black ominous figure. It reminded her of the room she had stepped in before.
The cold tinge of emptiness radiated from the entity.
She blinked again… third blink.
Whatever she had seen, it was now gone.
She let out a small chuckle, wiping the sweat from her brow. She blinked again to make sure it was verity, and nothing had altered. She let out a small, choked laugh and smiled as she began to stumble down the hall. She could feel the warmth coming from the end of the hall, signalling safety. Her stumble turned into a scamper, but then…
She blinked.
Silence. Darkness. Nothingness.
She paused, only to feel the cold aura from before. She felt dread wash over her when a slight breath could be felt on her neck. She let out a choked sob, knowing something was there. Something inhuman.
She slowly turned her head, the horror spreading over her features as her eyes landed it.
She gasped and tried to scream, but it was cut short by her last blink.
