This weekend, the Mentor High School Cardinals volleyball team will take the court for the OHSAA State Tournament, and the energy is electric. After a season of hard work, late-night practices, and endless drills, the team is ready to show the state what they’re made of.
Mentor’s journey to this point has been nothing short of incredible. The team battled through a tough season, dominated in the district finals, and now has its sights set on the ultimate prize: a state championship. This weekend, the Cardinals face Olentangy Orange at Vandalia-Butler High School on Saturday, November 8, at 12 p.m. If they win, they’ll move on to the Sunday, November 9, 11 a.m. match at the Nutter Center on the campus of Wright State University.
For those planning to cheer the team in person, tickets are available online at OHSAA.org/tickets
Ticket prices are $10 for students and $16 for adults at Butler High School, and $10 for students and $17 for adults at Wright State University (this includes parking). Children under 5 years of age are admitted free of charge. All tickets are general admission and cover all matches for the day. If you leave and return, you will need a new ticket.
Parking and Policy
Wright State – Nutter Center: Enter off Colonel Glenn Ave; ample parking is available and included with the adult ticket price.
Vandalia-Butler High School: Parking is available off S Dixie Avenue, with limited spaces off Alkaline Springs Rd ($5 fee).
Clear Bag Policy: Fans attending games at Wright State should note the clear bag policy. Be sure to check the flyer for what’s allowed.

Team Clap Out
Mentor held a clap-out for the team on Friday morning. It was a special moment for the school to send the Cardinals off with energy, encouragement, and school spirit as they headed into the state tournament.
