Join us in the Paradigm on April 28th to see students in Mentor’s Career Tech programs present at the CTE Summit! Our seniors will be set up throughout the room to share with you what they’ve accomplished throughout their two years in the program. They will discuss what skills were learned during class and with their internships and how they will be using that acquired knowledge after graduation.

Students with last names A-L will be in the Paradigm from 11:45 a.m. – 12:45 p.m., and students with last names M-Z will be from 1 – 2 p.m.

The programs that will be represented at the CTE Summit include:

By attending this event, you will be able to learn a multitude of details regarding the individual programs and gain insight on their benefits to high school students. Parents may see what their children have been learning for the past two years and recognize them for their hard work as senior year comes to an end.

“We are extremely proud of our graduating seniors and what they have accomplished over the past two years in their Career Technical Education program,” wrote Dr. Glavan, CTE Director. “We believe that their experiences have prepared them for whatever their future may hold whether it is enrollment, enlistment, or employment. We congratulate our graduating seniors as they leave Mentor High college prepared and career ready!”

The Lake Shore Compact, directed by Dr. Joseph Glavan, is dedicated to providing students with the fundamental skills they need to prepare them for higher education and/or the work force. The organization provides their programs to students at Mentor, Euclid, and Wickliffe High Schools and are available to junior and senior students.

Through the CTE programs, students are provided with internship opportunities, the potential to earn industry credentials, and earn college credit. The opportunities are too good to pass up!

By checking out Lake Shore Compact’s website, you can find all of the information you need about the programs, including times, locations, units of study, teachers, overview videos, and more.

So be sure to join us on the 28th to celebrate our senior’s achievements as they prepare for graduation and move on to the next part in their educational journey.
