Cardinal Nation: How long have you been teaching? And where?
Mrs. Ambrus: Thirty years – fifteen at Ridge Junior High and fifteen at MHS
Cardinal Nation: Why did you become a teacher?
Mrs. Ambrus: My parents were both teachers and I enjoyed being a part of what they did and seeing the difference they made in their students’ lives.
Cardinal Nation: What can you tell us about your family?
Mrs. Ambrus: I have been married for twenty years. I have two kids who go to the high school. Hailey is a freshman and Devon is a junior.
Cardinal Nation: What are some of your hobbies?
Mrs. Ambrus: I enjoy spending time with family and friends, going to the beach, being outside, fishing, traveling, drawing or painting, and listening to music.
Cardinal Nation: Do you coach any teams at school?
Mrs. Ambrus: I coach the Sparkle Cheerleaders and I am the co-advisor for the World Travelers Club.
Cardinal Nation: What is your favorite story of from high school?
Mrs. Ambrus: I graduated from Mentor High School. I can’t think of a favorite story but I most enjoyed my art and music classes and cheerleading for football. One of my most memorable events was going to Prom and Cedar Point the next day.
Cardinal Nation: What are some of your obsessives?
Mrs. Ambrus: I like things clean and organized.
Cardinal Nation: What’s the best advice you’ve been given or that you can share?
Mrs. Ambrus: Don’t be an “Almost-er”. If you are going to do something, do your very best.
