Creative Writing Club is Back!
A column by Evie Megery about the Creative Writing Club's new website and fresh ideas.
September 20, 2022
The Creative Writing Club is back, and we are excited to share some new developments for this school year.
Before we start, you should know a few things about us. We are a community of readers and writers who pursue the craft of creative writing to express our ideas and challenge our imaginations. Here, we set goals to challenge ourselves and our abilities so that we may become proficient storytellers.
Whether you are a novelist, poet or short story writer, this is the perfect place to invest in your hobbies and do what you enjoy.
One thing you should definitely know is that we have a brand new website! This website contains all of our plans and writing resources, so you’ll always have a place to go when you need inspiration and ideas. If you aren’t able to make it to a meeting or you have a busy schedule, you can find all of our agendas on the site. If you struggle with writer’s block, the ambiguous “it”, or other writing frustrations, we have put together great tips and videos. Now, the club is more interactive that it ever was before, and we are excited to see how you like it!
The website is still under construction, and we are still putting together those writing resources for you, so be sure to check back regularly for new updates.
Any suggestions or want to get involved? Email Mrs. Bolles, our fantastic advisor, or me, the club president, for information. We’d be glad to show you the ropes. You can join this club at any time throughout the school year. Don’t forget to bookmark the site on your phone and computer so that you won’t miss a thing.
Creative Writing Club meets every Monday after school from 2:30 – 3:15 p.m. in room B108, so be sure to mark your calendars! We have some great topics on our agendas that will light a spark in your imagination and get you in the writing mood.
Check out our overview video here to get to know a little bit more about us.
Happy writing!
