Alison Reilly Lutes’ work as a News Producer has earned her induction into the Mentor High School Alumni Hall of Fame.

Alison graduated from Mentor High School in 2011. After graduation, she continued her education at Kent State University, earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism. Alison thrived in broadcast journalism, holding multiple positions with TV2KSU – the Kent State University News Channel – including News Correspondent, Newscast Producer, and News Director.

Alison received Best Newscast Producer and Outstanding Board awards during her junior year. During her spare time, Lutes was a Gold twirler with the Marching Golden Flashes and a member of the United Methodist Church of Kent Choir. She was a part of an International Storytelling class and spent part of her college years in Estonia.

Her career path started a WBNS in Columbus as an Associate Producer. Along the way, Alison came back to North East Ohio as Associate Producer of Fox8 News. As News Producer of Fox8, Alison was nominated for the Best Weekend Newscast Emmy in 2020. She then moved to Spectrum as a News Producer in 2021.

Although Alison has a busy schedule as a News Producer, she has still found time as Perry First Baptist Church Youth Group Leader. She also finds time to volunteer with the FCMB Majorettes and Color Guard. Alison has accomplished all these great things in less than 10 years of her graduation from Mentor High School.
