Tate McRae, a 22-year-old singer, songwriter, and dancer came to Cleveland, Ohio, to bring her worldwide Miss Possessive Tour to Rocket Arena on Friday, August 29th, 2025. The Canadian dancer and singer-songwriter brought her 95-minute tour into Cleveland with jaw-dropping choreography throughout the whole show. McRae sang hits from her third studio album So Close to What, songs from her second studio album, Think Later, and songs from her early EPs and YouTube channel called “Create With Tate.”
The night opened with Zara Larsson, the Swedish singer-songwriter and dancer, performing on the T-shaped stage before McRae’s set. Larsson performed 11 songs, including “Lush Life,” “Never Forgot You,” and “Symphony.” After Larsson’s set, fans took pictures of one another in front of the T-shaped stage, creating a continuous flashing of lights. Fans dressed to emulate McRae’s keen fashion sense, wearing leopard print, race car jackets, leather boots, and jerseys throughout the arena.
Around 8:55, the stage went black and lights flashed. The intro began to play on the screen. A three-and-a-half minute intro played with flashing lights, smoke, and sound effects from her song “Miss Possessive.” The sold-out arena was screaming and anxiously waiting for McRae to enter the stage. Suddenly, McRae walked up the stairs in her 2-piece black outfit, short black high heels, and her black sunglasses. Her first song of the night, “Miss possessive” was being screamed throughout the arena. After that, she sang and danced for 1 hour and 35 minutes in the sold-out arena.
McRae continued act one by singing her songs from her third studio album, So Close To What, which included, “No, I’m not in Love” and “2 hands” with an insane dance break from McRae and her backup dancers. She ended act one with McRae strutting down the stage singing “Guilty Conscience” from her second studio album Think Later. After ending act one, McRae exited the A stage down the lift for a wardrobe change in act two.
When act two began, the whole sold-out crowd screamed when McRae entered the stage in a different outfit. McRae wore a custom white top with custom black/white sweatpants and short black high heels as she walked out to perform. This act included songs like “Purple Lace Bra” with dynamic vocals at the end of the song, making the whole sold-out crowd go crazy. She then performed “Like I Do,” “Uh Oh,” and “Dear God” that included another show-stopping dance break with McRae and her back up dancers. McRae ended act two with “Siren Sounds (Bonus)” which seemed like the crowd’s favorite due to all the screaming and singing. All songs in act two were from her So Close To What album. After “Siren Sounds (Bonus),” McRae exited the stage and headed to the dressing room to get changed for her third act of the night.
When act three began, McRae took longer to get to the stage because she performed on the second stage of the night, the B stage. McRae wore a long black dress with black boots. This stage was a circle-shaped stage and was an elevation stage. McRae started singing her song “Greenlight.” In the crowd, people were holding up green lights on their phones in the crowd for her to hopefully see. When McRae started singing her song “Nostalgia,” there was not a dry eye in the arena. The stage crew then brought up a piano for McRae to play her older acoustic songs from early EPs and YouTube such as “One Day” and “That Way.” After McRae’s acoustic songs, she performed “You Broke Me First” and transitioned to her song “Run for the Hills” that led her to a barricade walk and ended act three.
Finally, act four started with one of McRae’s famous song “Exs” from her Think Later album. McRae wore a two-piece blue top and bottom with black high-heeled boots to close the show. Dance breaks broke out all over the crowd when McRae performed “Bloodonmyhands.” After, Tate broke out an old school cheer competition, inviting the left, right, and middle sections to scream at the top of their lungs before she played an older song, “She’s All I Wanna Be.” In the end, the right side took the win. McRae continued on with the show with her famous songs like “Revolving Door,” and the crowd screamed the whole bridge. Then she performed “It’s Okay, I’m Okay” with an iconic dance break in the middle of the performance. “Just Keep Watching” was electric with all the camera angles and fire effects. “Sports Car” was next and is the most popular and streamed song on McRae’s newest album. Around 10:30 McRae asked the crowd if she could perform one more song. The crowd was excited when the intro of McRae’s second famous hit, “Greedy” started. The crowd sang all the lyrics, hoping the moment would last forever. Before the last chorus of the song, McRae asked the crowd to sing the last part, and they did. Suddenly, out of nowhere, confetti exploded everywhere. McRae and her dancers walked up to the main part of the stage for their final bow, and in a blink of an eye, McRae was gone.
